Class Policy
PLEASE READ:
Participants are expected to arrive on time, ready for class. Their will be absolutely no tolerance with habitual late arrival students. Nor will there be any tolerance for students that arrive under the influence of intoxicating substances, or the suspicion thereof. If a student is suspected of being under the influence of intoxicants the student will be escorted from class, and there participation in the that class will end and there will be no refund of any tuition money.
Students are required to forward 50% of their tuition for the requested class, this will hold their spot until opening night. The remaining 50% of your tuition is due on or before the first night of class. Your tuition covers the cost of all books, lecture, lab, and equipment fees incurred by the Emergency Medical Training Center during your education process.
Tuition reimbursement for classes will only be as follows:
For EMT-B, EMT-C, EMT-Refresher:
- Full Refund of amount paid before the start of class 1.
- 50% refund after class 1, and before class 3.
- 0% refund after class 3.
For EOA-Mast Update, 12-Lead ECG Interpretation, Endo Tracheal Intubation:
- Full Refund of amount paid before the start of class 1.
- There will be no tuition reimbursement once a scheduled class has been held.
Students must provide own transportation to and from class locations, and to and from their hospital observation time. |

During the Cardiac Class #1 'Back to Basics day, the students were tested for their airway skills. It included all aspects of a Basic Airway station as well as a full retest on intubation skills both Medical and Trauma.

Lab Session:
Lab sessions will have the students involved with hands on practice of learned skills with experienced EMS Instructors and their fellow students. Students shall be responsible to bring with them a working wrist watch as this piece of equipment is an essential piece of your work uniform once you pass your licensure exam and begin working as a Rhode Island EMT. |

What do I need to bring to class?
Students need to bring with them at least, 1 pen, 1 pencil, notebook (spiral bounds are usually best). Most lectures the student will be given various amounts of hand outs that pertain to the lecture and these should be kept in a 3 ring binder for continued review during the course.
